Bad blogger!

I'm sorry to anyone that has checked in on my silly blog and has seen how bad I have become once again with blogging. Bad me!

Thank you for all of your comments on my chicken. Finally I had the guts to show you all that I really do crochet with something silly, and you all were nice enough to say hello. Even some of you that I never met before. My hat is off to you! Thank you! The flowers... well they fell off the door and the dog ate some of them. Most came back up, but they weren't pretty anymore. lol

Lots of things have been going on in my house, as some of you may know. My daughter moved back!!! Yah - Then my daughter moved out!!! :(

Things have been crazy over here in Jersey. Can't get much done with my head in a cloud, so I am at a stand still right now. I have been enjoying visiting all of your blogs whenever my butt gets to sneak online. I have been pretty good about leaving comments and such, so know that you are all in my thoughts. Some of you, more than others, as you are having some really difficult times right now. I'm always here to email!!!

It seems like something is always going wrong for me, but I am keeping my chin high, and I am not feeling sorry for myself this time. I do feel incredibly bad for my daughter. I really feel that I must kiss and makeup with her, but I also think that she needs to learn a lesson about the hardship of life. Not the life that your parent's continually protect you from. I'm not sure which way to go on this one. Any advice from other parents of semi-adults would be nice. :)

Bye for now. I will be good, and post something fun shortly. No matter what my mood!

P.S. Those pot holders are addictive to make!

I swear it was a week or so ago that you said you were going to post lol.

As far as the kid. Sometimes you have to let them fight their own battles. It's the only way. I have seen kids whose parents were always there to help them out, they thought they were being good supportive parents, and now they have children who are adults who DEMAND for help like they are owed it.
It's hard, as parents, to not intervene when we see our children (regardless of age) hurting or having trouble. But we have to remember that part of our job as parents is making sure they have the ability to become capable and responsible adults.
*hugs*
It will get better.

Kel, I know it's hard, especially with an only child-hang in there.

As for not blogging much, we've been super busy too-and when it's nice out, we're hanging out outside.

Oh Kelly, I know its so hard being a parent, though we have different issues to deal with, I can relate very much. Hang in there. *Hugs*

Hi Kelly,

You and I have spoken at length about this and my heart goes out to you. Take care, my friend.

I am sure everything will work out soon, you did a good job with your daughter, she just has to realize it.

hi kel, i glad i'm not the only bad blogger. life is just very complicated and sometimes messy. i have a 23 yo and a 31 yo, so i feel your pain. all i can say is that through the bad times i try to remember that the values we teach them come to the surface eventually. and during the good times i'm just glad i did not give in on things i beleive to be right. all we can do is love them and try to teach them what is right and what is not. then they grow up and need to choose for themselves. i think letting them make their own mistakes has got to be the hardest thing to do. i try but sometimes i am not strong enough. hang in there, sounds like you are not doing such a bad job, you have a good kid.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the struggles you are having. Parenting is a hard task. I know...I have a long way to catch up with you, but please know that I am thinking and praying for you regarding your daughter. There is really know "right" answer. All you can do is the best you can do and through it all love your daughter.

I have also had some struggles with my son, as you can see on my blog...we must band together as moms. :) Hang in there!
