Thanks for the advice!

Thanks to all that sent me emails, or posted a comment concerning the crochet hook dilemma. I know what it says on the carriers site about bringing hooks, and such on board. I just had to hear it from others. I'll make sure to bring along a self addressed envelope just in case. Its only a little over a three hour flight, but I get figedy just the same. Lets just hope that the drugs (prescribed) put me to sleep so I don't have to worry so much. LOL ... Actually I am more worried about all the security for some reason.

Well I'll post when I get back. Bye to all for now! :)

Finally!

Well it is almost unbelievable, but the husband and I are going on a vacation! We are going with relatives that own a condo in Sanible, Fl. So the rent is free. Just air fare (done), rental car (done), and food! This is sooo excellent. I really need to get away from it all for a little while. It's a much needed vacation that is for sure. I'll make sure that I take plenty of pictures, and actually post some.

I know that many of you have taken your crochet stuff on flights. The question is can I take my sterilites, or should I stick to the plastic? Please advise me if you know about this first hand. I don't really trust the airline site, because they change the rules everyday. Any advise would be appreciated Crochet friends!

I am finished with the bookmark swap, and need to send them on their way. Now I am hooked on making bookmarks! I am going to make bookmarks for every gift I need to give. So besides being drugged up, or drunk I want to bring my stuff... to keep the nervousness at bay somewhat.

I thought this was a cute photo of my Betty so I am sharing. It's the main reason why my bathroom floor isn't clean at the moment!

More pictures!

My secret pal is the sweetest! She hinted at who she was (shouldn't do that with me), and although I thought she was Rebecca because of the cow picture (and Rebecca recently met a cow up close) I thought it was her. You can read about it here at Ewe Devil. I am sure Rebecca thinks I am a nut case by now with my comment on her blog. Sorry Rebecca!
I now think I know who it is, but I won't let on (Little cow). I did post to her blog however, and hope I got her right. If you are reading this I want you to know you are a sweetie, whoever you are! Here is the great package that my pal sent to me a few weeks ago. Like I said in previous posts, I have been really late with downloading pictures (bad me). Here are my presents:

My pal sent me some patterns, a beeswax candle making kit (love it), a photo frame making kit (love it), a knitter's gauge (which I will use for the ruler purpose for now), some yummy Bernat Boa (love it, and the color), and a beautiful card to say hi.
Thank you Secret Pal you really did make my day! I love these swaps, they make you feel special.

Finally Pictures!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a few. Just been a little busy with lifes little hiccups that won't stop. I'm sure that everyone knows what I mean.... because I am not the only one.

I hope that everyone had a nice holiday last week. We had a last minute bbq at my house. Which was nice, and quiet. Just 7 of us that are close in my family~ same people at every party which is just fine with me. I hate to entertain.

My daughter Chris recently got a job at the new A.C. Moore that opened nearby. Wow! I'm in heaven with the discount! It's a delicious 40% off your entire purchase everyday... yes everyday! LOL I hope this one lasts a little while. She is a big crafter so I know that she is loving it for the time being.

Just to show off how pretty she is, here is a picture of her at work with her Dad over the weekend:

Do you think we laughed our asses off or what? I have to admit that she did a great job, considering it was the hottest day here so far, and that she is a mere 100 lbs, and had to carry that huge head on her shoulders. LOL
